H.E.A.T. Training

HEAT Training!  Can you tell I am excited? Well, I am.  Recently, I was lucky enough to take part in a very exclusive full-dayworkshop on a new style of training know as the HEAT Protocol.  You may have not heard of it, as it is only comes from the creator Derek McCormick out of Los Angeles.

There is always something you can learn to take with you and I really had a great experience at this seminar.  I am now a  HEAT Protocol Specialist and incorporate HEAT into my workouts and my own training.  

H.E.A.T. which stands for Hyper Efficient Anatomical Triggering is a patent-pending combination of Metabolic Fiber Sequencing and Wave Interval Training.  Other training systems such as Tabata Training or Sports Specific Training (which I both like), are just not realistic to do all the time and are limited in their versatility.  With HEAT, there is both an art and science behind it.  It is not just a trainer throwing out drills or numbers to follow randomly but a very precise formula.  With HEAT Training there is no time wasted on counting reps or sets or going back and fourth.  Each component of a HEAT WAVE is very specific but yields a very easy, smart, and powerful workout.

SO WHAT ARE THE HEAT WAVES you ask???  That is for me to know and you to find out!  It is what makes HEAT so different.  The whole point to the HEAT Training is that the muscle fibers are worked in the correct manner, in the correct sequence and for the correct period of time.  It is all about maximum efficiency.

This may sound a bit overwhelming however it is simply a matter of understanding just a little bit more of your very own body.  It’s starts at the beginning – the Muscles of the Human Body.  The skeletal muscles are characterized into three main types (yes there are more sub-categories but realistically we focus on the 3 MAIN types) each of which have different fuel sources (fat and or glycogen).
Since ALL OF US have all three types and excess fuel to burn (some more than others), why not train in a style that efficiently targets all three muscles fibers for the greatest results?  That is what Metabolic Fiber Sequencing is all about – maximum workout efficiency.  Combine it with (the more physiologically in-depth) Wave Interval Training and you have the HEAT Protocol!

Not only do I love the workouts myself, but my clients are PUMPED too. There are no gimmick’s, no fancy equipment needed, or repetitive drills.  Another reason HEAT is so incredible, is that it can be applied to machines, free-weights, body-weight movements, ancillary items, ropes, sliders, TRX, etc.

Remember you will want to switch things up ALWAYS IN YOUR ROUTINE for optimum results and with HEAT Training it is almost never the same.  ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING:

  1. If you are looking for a way to break through a plateau… HEAT is for you. 

  2. If you are looking to lose fat pounds and become a FAT-BURNING Machine… HEAT is for you.

  3. If you are bored out of your mind or you have a trainer who puts you through the same tedious routine every single session… HEAT is for you. 

  4. If you need to accelearate your Metabolism and make it hummmm all day… HEAT is for you.
